How I Started
The concept behind NAYO NAYO FESTIVAL was developed as part of a school brief, where I aimed to create a vibrant, cultural celebration that brings together music lovers, artists, and performers to experience the best of Afrobeats and Amapiano. My goal was to design an event that showcases diverse African talent while promoting unity, joy, and cultural appreciation through music and dance.

Research & Conceptualization
I began by researching the music festival landscape and considering the key elements that would resonate with both performers and attendees. The focus was on designing an inclusive and dynamic environment that celebrated African musical genres and culture, even within the constraints of a makeshift, conceptual event for the brief.
Branding & Visual Identity
Using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, I developed a bold, modern logo and visual theme for the festival. The design aimed to reflect the energy, rhythm, and vibrancy of African culture, ensuring the branding spoke to the excitement and uniqueness of the event, despite its conceptual nature.
Event Production & Audio Branding
For the festival’s promotional materials and audio branding, I created a lively and energetic theme music and sound elements. These were designed to capture the festival’s upbeat atmosphere and reflect the spirit of a music celebration, aligning with the visual identity.
Launch Strategy & Promotion
Even though the festival was conceptual, I created promotional designs and social media campaigns as part of the brief, featuring mock artist spotlights, event highlights, and behind-the-scenes content to engage the audience and showcase the festival’s potential. The strategy was aimed at building anticipation and excitement, aligning with how a real launch would unfold.
